As children, our father took us to the town park, where lamp lights glowed through snowflakes, ice shimmered and town folk waltzed around the rink. Enchanted by my own childhood memories and stories that I heard of Simcoe Park, ‘Evening Skaters’ was painted at last, one generation later.
