Just outside the kitchen window at Spruce Lane Farm, one could see this scene. We used to love visiting the friendly Belgian horses there, as they took a pause from their important work. Quietly, they reminded us of a gentle pace of life that has all but disappeared. How grateful we have always been for their continuing existence.
